Title
Exploring the epigenome over the reversal of environmental conditions in C. elegans.
Hypothesis
We hypothesize that the reversal of environmental conditions will reverse most epigenome changes.
Procedure Hypoxia in utero
Have a control group over three generations that experiences normoxia.
Have a control group over three generations that experiences normoxia.
Expose a sample group P0 generation to hypoxia while P1 is developing inside P0.
  • Expose the P1 generation to hyperoxia.
Expose a second sample group P0 generation to hypoxia while P1 is developing inside P0.
  • Expose the P1 generation to normoxia.
Sample the genome at the trail end of the P2 and compare to control group or to P0 generation?
  • Or would you sample at the trail end of P1 without going back to normoxia for sample group 1?
Procedure Hypoxia in the same generation
Have a control group over one generation that experiences 3 rounds of normoxia.
Have a sample group that experiences hypoxia and then hyperoxia and then normoxia.
  • End in a trailing normoxia condition before sampling the genome? I think yes.
Have a second sample group that experiences hypoxia and then 2 rounds of normoxia.
Sample the genome at the trail end of the generation and compare to control group.
