Chain Coming Off the Plug

Use zip ties so the chain doesn't come off the plug.

Toilet Fill Valve Not Shutting Off¹

1. Shutoff the water at the angle stop.
2. Flush and drain the water out of the tank.
3. Remove the clip from the water-level stem.
4. Push down and turn the valve cap a quarter turn to the left.

• The clip to the stem may need to be lifted in order to turn the valve cap.

1. Gently turn on the water with a cup over the pipe to clean out mineral deposits.
2. Clean or replace the seal under the valve cap. They can get old and deteriorate.

• In a pinch, plumber's tape can wrapped around the outside of the seal to bulk it up.
